Communities Health Africa Trust (CHAT) works with communities through a partnership approach. The partnership with the community is formalized by working with local elders and leaders to identify a “community-own resource person” (CORPs).
CORPs work in their home communities to mobilise the services and support the community needs. CORPs focus on health, family planning & the environment but may also participate in finding solutions to issues around development, livelihood projects, and many other needs of the community.
Building on the success that they have had in other areas, we are supporting CHAT to launch activities in villages adjacent to Amboseli National Park.
With a focus on Population Health and Environment (PHE) CHAT aims to drive positive behavior change for increased family planning uptake and environmental sustainability.
